Allwater Boatworks 21

Bigger is Better

FSF Staff December 1, 2011

One of the longest flats boats on the market, the Allwater 21 offers much more than your typical backcountry skiff. While shallow drafting platforms that can float in a puddle are extremely exciting, the most fertile shallows are often only accessible with a long run through open water. Fortunately, the Allwater 21 makes for a comfortable ride in unpleasant conditions.

While the increased length provides desirable handling characteristics, it also offers incredible fishability in a variety of venues. Furthermore, the intelligent layout offers a wide range of hatches and compartments for a plethora of tackle and gear. The front deck features two dry storage compartments, anchor locker and a 40-gallon livewell. In the stern you will find two 30-gallon insulated coolers and two additional 30-gallon livewells. The gunnels are 18 inches wide and provide excellent mobility and stability, with locking rod compartments both port and starboard. The side console is a thing of beauty with a Lenco piston raising a recessed electronics panel. When seated it doubles as a windshield, but for those who prefer to drive standing up the actuator can adjust to the perfect viewing angle. An ingenious quick discontent keeps the console locked when not in use to protect expensive electronics. With options limited only by your imagination, this custom crafted skiff is perfect for those not interested in a typical production boat. Designed the way you want it for the way you fish, this may very well be the last backcountry boat you ever own. Allwater Boatworks, 561.282.8784, allwaterboatworks.com

The newest Riptide SF features an intelligent design that includes fewer moving parts and impressive power. For ultimate reliability, the Riptide SF is impervious to saltwater’s corrosive effects thanks to premium-grade marine alloys and aluminum upper arms. Minn Kota, 800.227.6433, minnkotamotors.com
