Pittsburgh, PA – ANGLR, a fishing tech startup out of Pittsburgh, PA, has raised a Series A round of $3.3M. The company is building a fishing intelligence platform consisting of a free fishing app, connected devices, and a digital community to help avid anglers constantly improve.
“We believe improvement in sport fishing is a constant process to be celebrated and shared. We allow fishermen to record their activity, measure performance, learn key trends, compare, and collaborate with friends through their free digital fishing profiles,” said ANGLR CEO Nic Wilson.
ANGLR just unveiled its latest connected accessory, the Bullseye. It is a Bluetooth button that pairs with ANGLR’s free app to seamlessly mark waypoints and catch details without ever pulling out a phone or reaching for a screen.
Cape Canaveral Charter Captain Josh Baker describes the new Bullseye as a game changer. “Many of us (charter captains) are already using a pencil to record hit locations and catch details. ANGLR just made logging this data as simple as a button press, which is automatically saved with other key trip variables like local weather, water, and tackle information.”
