Caribiana Sea Skiffs

Classic Beauty

FSF Staff May 31, 2010

Custom built one at a time by hand, Caribiana Sea Skiffs offer a welcomed alternative to typical cookie cutter hull designs and go-fast gas-guzzlers. Unlike anything you’ve ever seen, Caribiana offers two variations to their practical platform—the Coaster and Signature. The Coaster features a sleek, white fiberglass hull and steering pedestal, while the Signature model sports artfully designed teak throughout. The high, slender bow, graceful sheer, and lap strake hull echo a time when utility and craftsmanship shaped beautiful boats. Caribiana Sea Skiffs blend the heritage of Caribbean hull design and traditional American craftsmanship, while incorporating modern materials and techniques to make an elegant, beautiful platform. The fiberglass hull is hand-laid and rated for a 90 horsepower, although well matched to smaller outboards. Meticulously crafted, a fully-rigged Caribiana can take upwards of 30-days to complete. As a result, only a handful of boats are produced each year, with each build the result of a custom order. With their distinctive lines these tricked out skiffs are sure to turn heads. Combine a platform that’s inexpensive to operate and easy to maintain with beauty, grace and seaworthiness, and you’ve found Caribiana. Caribiana Sea Skiffs, 888.203.4883, www.caribiana.com
