Friday, June 19th – 5pm a FREE Kids Fishing Rodeo will be held on-site at 565 – 150th Ave, Madeira Beach, just West of the Tom Stuart Causeway. This is a fun fishing evening complete with 2 heats, 4 age groups and lots of prizes! You must register online to fish at oldsaltfishing.org/fishing-tournaments/kids-fishing-rodeo.

The first 250 kids registered will receive an Old Salt bag full of all sorts of goodies.

“Part of the Old Salt mission statement is to support family interaction and camaraderie through fishing. We want all children to have the opportunity and experience of catching a fish”. Say’s Tom Verdensky, Old Salt President. “We live in a beautiful state surrounded by water, fishing is a hobby that any kid can do. As the saying goes “catch a fish and your hooked for life” Fishing is a life long passion that keeps people outdoors and active, and that’s important for everyone at any age”, said Verdensky.

So, it is that simple, register a kid you love online, grab a rod and reel and bring them out to fish! And when the fishing is done plan on BBQ for dinner at The Baddest BBQ & Bone Fishing Slam Festival. There will be live music by Soul Circus Cowboys, Pig Races, a kid’s zone, art and marine vendors plus 15 awesome BBQ and food vendors to wet your whistle with.
