AS SEEN IN THE JAN/FEB 2008 ISSUE
To Boone and the rest of the Florida Sport Fishing Crew,
To set the scene, it was my
first time ever taking out a boat that I could call my
own. I just purchased a pre-owned 16 ft. Sundance skiff, and wife my
wonderful wife’s company, broke it in quite well during our inaugural trip in Crystal
River. I rarely catch fish worth raving about, but after
spotting a tailing red off an island where the Salt River feeds the Gulf,
I sent a 3" Gulp Shrimp sailing away toward the fight of its
life.
The result is only the second redfish I have ever caught. I was literally
shaking from excitement when I landed it. It won't be the last! I also
wanted you to know that I read every issue from cover to cover! - Nick Boehme
