The highly anticipated Mercury Redbone SLAM, presented by ESPN Outdoors Saltwater Series, was scheduled for September 5-7, however, with Hurricane Ike dangerously close to Key West, event organizers rescheduled the event for October 17-19. This prestigious Redbone Celebrity Tournament is the first in an annual Florida Keys autumn trilogy of Mercury Redbone angling challenges.

…came the voice over the loudspeakers. At 3:00 a.m. that is exactly what they were – loud. I knew this voice, for I had heard it many times before and when it spoke, it spoke clear and true. This early in the morning voices will do strange things to you, more so when you have been up for 30-hours and the only thing keeping you from permanent somnolence is a viscous coffee-type liquid affectionately called “mud.” |
