Long renowned for its normally calm seas and superb offshore fishing, Florida’s Southwest Coast finds its treasure and allure not in the legends of lost pirate’s booty, but in the vast abundance of reefs and wrecks scattered across the ocean floor. Creations of both man and Mother Nature, reefs and sunken wrecks of ships downed by centuries of violent storms and acts of war now harbor the feeding and breeding grounds of countless species of bait and game fish.
