marco island - cocoa beach

Went to marco in search of redfish . Got pulled over for speeding but was giving a warning and I'm very grateful Lieutenant Hood was understanding and friendly.I was lost in the mansions of marco but he directed me to caxambas park, thanks again. I knew the day could have gone sour with that speeding ticket but when it didn't I knew it was going to be a great day. I also can't wait to go back. We launched at caxambas park and fished the pass and channels ,beach shoreline. We found them on the ocean side. Great size reds from 16" - 28 ". We caught 6 & kept 1 22" for dinner. Fanatastic trip. If you want to catch reds easily hit goodland or marco. Cut bait, topwater , gulp shrimp, they all caught fish.
Got to shout out my buddy Doug in cocoa who has been slaying the black drum. There plentiful and big and he had a 20 fish day with 2 bull reds to add for big fights all from shore n kayak. Also getting some nice flounder up there. deep water canals with current are the ticket

Whats up buddy .Hope all is well. I saw your post on FS n now here. So your getting into the charter buissness, congrats. Im also working on starting something but its gonna be offshore fishing the boat ,hopefully it will materialize.
Those are some nice snook. I still havent done mingo or choko cause i feel its risky solo with the crocs n all. Its also far. I see u regularly fish these spots and do extremely well so Im very tempted to do it soon. I remember tarpon season last year, what a year! This season I'm determined to get that pic of 100+ pder. I know u know about that 8) Maybe u can refer me to an area where I can catch bones or permit in the keys or biscayne bay or tell arno. I would appreciate it. peace-
