INSHORE:
I usually talk about windy weather in March, but here we are in November and we have windy conditions throughout the Treasure Coast and it appears to be here for several days. The fishing has been very good out there, but few anglers have been able to brave the choppy waters to give it a try. I managed a day out earlier in the week, but had to cancel the last couple of days with small craft advisories out.

INSHORE - We had good reports of trout and redfish over the weekend and before the winds started blowing and trout season closed on November 1st. The trout were around Herman's Bay and feeding on soft plastic baits like a D.O.A. Terroreyz or a live finger mullet.

WEATHER: As we expect this time of year, the weather has gotten off of the summer schedule and we now have the cool fall weather comforting us. Our temperature this morning was 68 degrees, earlier in the week it was a steady 70 degrees while the daytime highs have been in the mid to high 80’s with little humidity. No wonder so many people come and visit this time of year! We had mostly clear skies this week with a little wind from the northwest early in the week.

Monster Reds Abound!!!!
Finally, the dog days of summer are behind us. Passing cold fronts and cooling winds have finally prevailed and our fish are finally starting to take hold of their fall and winter feeding grounds. Shallow flats, deep holes and scattered oysterbars are all targeted terrains during this transition phase.

Sailfish are already appearing off of South Florida. It doesn’t take long but soon after our first cold front of the year, sailfish have already made their way into the waters of South Florida.
