It's 21 days into my recovery from abdominal surgery and I'm feeling stronger and better each day. I've finally recovered to the point where I can start fishing again, but I still need another week or two before I start doing charters again. Tampa Bay Fishing Some Great Days on the Water!
Sometimes wind is a good thing when it comes to fishing! Many times it makes fishing in some areas easier. We could have used a little more wind last week when the weather was super hot and the water was extra calm. Mosquito Lagoon Florida
The mullet run is underway!! They can be found north to the inlet all throughout the lagoon system. The fishing this week has been good in the mornings using topwater for trout and redfish. Anywhere you locate bait on the flats or grassy edges these predators will be lurking. Pay close attention to the bait pods as there are generally reds mixed in with them in the shallows.

WEATHER: Two close calls in two weeks means we got really lucky when it came to weather this week. As Monday opened we awoke to the sounds of heavy thunder and lightning flashes with heavy rain as the first band of Hurricane Rick came over us.
