Mosquito Creek Outdoors Indian River Lagoon Coast Fishing Report
I wish I could tell you fishing has been great this week along the Indian River Lagoon Coast, but that would be stretching the truth instead of stretching a line. Fall weather has settled in with windy conditions predicted for the next five days.

Talk about a mixed bag of fish! That’s exactly what I had yesterday the 8th of November in Jacksonville Florida.
I made a run to the north to check out a few spots for Flounder. The Flounder just weren’t laid up good. Even though we caught several they were very very small. With the water temperature still in the mid 70’s I don’t think the Flounder have really started there push to the ocean for the winter. At least that’s what I’m counting on…

Albie on Fly Report
Greetings from Albie World:
Today Don Butler joined me aboard "Flat Out" for my third day of fly fishing for Albies with My friend Captain Brian Horsley. Just to recap the lass two days, the Albie fishing around bait balls has been the best that I have seen in my 8 years of fishing in this area. Although the Albies are a little smaller than last week the sheer numbers of both bait (of all sizes) and predictors (False Albacore)make up for the 7 to 12 pound fish we are catching.

Tampa Bay showed all her beauty Saturday morning. Slightly cooler and dryer air was a welcome relief leaving the O’Neill’s Marina. We picked up Evan our angler and made way to the flats adjacent to the Skyway Bridge. Pinfish were thick in the chum slick but white baits were our target. Patience paid off as white bait started showing up after 10 minutes. I tossed the net 6 times and we were set.

Windy conditions made for some tough fishing, however with so many barrier islands in the Sarasota area I was able to find cover, and fish. Around northern areas of Siesta Key - south to middle Longboat Key were best during the North West blows.
