Exclusive Report
Keith and Debbie Brown of Pinellas Park FL treated their boys, Dalton Brown and Javier Torres, to a day of fishing on the reef for snappers with Capt. Chris Johnson and SeaSquared Charters out of Key Colony Beach Marina. They caught many yellowtail ranging in size from just shy of legal to about 3 pounds plus a bonus dolphin. They also caught and released a just short black grouper. All in all it was a great day of family fun fishing topped off with three full bags of filets to take back home. Shown, L-R: Debbie, Keith and Dalton Brown and Javier Torres.

July 8th, Lake St. Clair Fishing Report From The Michigan Side
TODAY WAS dream summer day. After a great 4th of July weekend the Johnson family fished aboard "Golden Streaker" for their annual fishing outting.
Bill Johnson takes the family on an annual fishing trip. This was the 2nd year with Captain Frank. Perfect weather made it a dream day. BUT catching smallmouth bass was the target species. After the long holiday Captain Frank was worried that the fish were going to be hiding????

Fishing report for 7-7-08 from D. M. Navarro @ the World Class Angler in Marathon.
The nice weather and calm seas has produced some fine catches lately for most anglers. The ability for most craft to venture out over most of the local fishing grounds has been awarded with quite a bit more action as well. The deep waters offshore, over 700 feet, has produced some very large dolphin, tunas, wahoo and more than a couple of 'David -Vs- Goliath' type stories. Or if you prefer, 'The Old Man & the Sea.'

North Carolina Fishing Report
July 3 & 4, 2008
Happy Fourth of July:
July 3, 2008:
Today I was invited to go wreck fishing with my friend Chuck Laughridge on some local wrecks where the fly fishing for Amberjack, Cobia, Kingfish, Spanish Mackerel, along with sharks has been good foo the past several weeks. I arrived at Chuck's dock on Harkers Island at 5:30 AM and we were underway at 5:35. After a one hour trip in Chuck's super fast Pathfinder bay boat we arrived at what is locally called the "D" wreck. I was fishing a 10 weight TFO TiCr fly rod with my Mako #9550 fly reel, and a RIO T-11 30 foot shooting head and a 5 inch deciever (White and Chartreuse on a 3/0 owner hook while using 20 pound fluero carbon class tippet. Chuck was using a Mako Reel with a Streamer express (400 GR?) fly line on an 11 weight rod.

Compliments of Mosquito Creek Outdoors
Mosquito Creek Outdoors, Fishing Outlook
br> Summertime has officially arrived on the space coast, as the mid summer doldrums are currently among us. It's also the time of year when tropical weather systems and offshore water temperatures are as predictable as Wall Street. Just when you think you've got things figured out, a summer squall will blow in and kick up the seas, or the cold water Labrador Current will move in and shut down the seaward bite. Setting all these possibilities aside, many opportunities for angling adventures exist for us both inside and outside on the Lagoon Coast in July.

Mosquito Lagoon Fishing Report
Casting to Tailing Reds
Almost any day of the year, you could encounter tailing redfish here in east central Florida. The good thing is you know for sure they are hungray and eating. The bad part is that their heads are often buried in the grass and they are focused on the bottom and may not see your lure. I like to cast about ten feet past the fish and begin retrieving my lure the moment it hits the water, keeping it on the surface where I can see it. When it is about a foot away from the fish, I let it drop to the bottom and slowly work it through the grass. You must often pass withing inches of the fish's head to get their attention. If you can tell your cast is off target, reel in as quick as possible and you may get another shot. Tailing fish can be a challenge, The better you can cast, the more you will catch.
