The first true cold front moved into North Florida this past Friday and after the front you know what’s next… 15 to 20 NE winds. This should drop our water temp a little and put the inshore fish on the move.

Biscayne Bay has had alot of water in it lately in the form some extreme high tides! The best bet for finding them as far as sight fishing goes is going to areas where the tide is traditionally been the lowest, from a sightfishing perspective this just makes the most sense to me! I have been finding most my bonefish lately in the upper part of the Bay just to the north of Elliot Key. Large schools of tailers have been abudant on those flats in between the north of Elliot and Key Biscayne!

WEATHER: We had a break last week as we expected Tropical Storm Patricia to come over the top of us. She did, but only as a remnant low-pressure system, thank goodness she fell apart early. She did bring three days of gentle rain, and the hills are bright green now.

Fishing Report October 19th, 2009

Today Kai and Stephan, from Germany, joined us for a fabulous day right out in front of Ft. Lauderdale. It was a beautiful day and the seas were calm. These guys have never really done any deep sea fishing before. Chris and I went right to the standard trolling spread. It took a little time, but we finally found ‘em.
