Inshore:
Take a moment to remember the veterans of D-Day, June 6, 1944. My Pop was in the first wave on Omaha Beach that day and was one of three who survived in his landing craft. We will always honor them for their sacrifice for their country. Thanks Pop! We will always remember you.

We had some nice days this week along with a few windy and wet ones, but the fishing remains good out on the water. I was finally able to get my son-in-law, Rick, and his step dad, Chris out for some fun in the river. We caught some nice size sea trout this week and had a good time in the Indian River. Trout fishing is still the best bite out there for now. Fishing in two to five feet of water with DOA shrimp or live baits have been productive for us. Most of our fish have come up north of Fort Pierce this past week.

I did manage a nice redfish with a DOA shrimp on another day and have also caught a couple flounder on the flats recently. The snapper have been showing up and we should have a good season for them this year. You can still find some sheephead around structure this time of year. There are still lots of jacks and bluefish around the river as well. It has been a nice mix of fish this week. It should be a great summer out there.

As summer sets in and the days continue to be warm, make sure you keep plenty of water on board. Don't forget suntan lotion, too. Keeping hydrated can make a huge difference in an enjoyable day or a dangerous one. Drink plenty of fluids and keep that suntan lotion on throughout the day. Have lots of fun this summer!
As always, remember, fishing is not just another hobby....it's an ADVENTURE!!
Good Fishing and Be Safe,
Capt. Charlie Conner
