Carola and I love to go down to Lake Siskiyou on our days off and just hang out with our dog Kobe Beef. This is one of California’s most beautiful and cleanest lakes, you may want to check out the annual 4th of July Hex Hatch that comes out just before dark. With almost 3 months of guiding under our belts or half our season here in United States, it sure has been a wonderful year so far. Have you checked out the DUNSMUIR BREWERY IN DUNSMUIR, CALIFORNIA? This is a great place for wonderful grilled food and fresh brewed beer by my former guide Aaron Greener. I think this place is a must see and eat while you’re up in the Mt Shasta area. Located right on Dunsmuir Ave near the TED FAY FLY SHOP and DUNSMUIR THEATRE. Carola loves this place!!! Try the Blue Cheese Burger.

Now that’s a beautiful balancing act! My wife is such a babe!! We love to go and get lost out on the Upper Sac, looking for love in all the right places!!

Good reason to hire a guide this year on the local North State Rivers, more rattlesnakes out this year with unusual dry conditions. I’ve seen more snakes near water than previous years. (I’ll be right behind you all the way MR. Trout, you lead!)

Sweet out on the river on a warm summer day...

Golden Stones come out in June on a lot of North State Rivers, the hatch on the McCloud River was great this year. (Certain sections of the river)

Ken Gleaves came to town with his childhood friends Tom & Burke and they rented a two story house in the countryside of the McCloud Squaw Valley, only minutes form the Lower McCloud River. Think about renting homes & hotels and eating in the town of McCloud, they badly need your tourist dollars.

Our own local native Shasta Lillies bloom every June up ikn the Mount Shasta area, look for Shasta Daisies also.

My partner in sublime! Carola Trout offers the best guide lunch in the fly fishing industry and the nicest legs too!

Tiger Lillies and Elephant Ears are some of the amazing scenery ont he McCloud River.

McCloud River Rainbow is one of the most beautiful trout known in the world. This trout has also been transported all over the hemispheres

of North & South America.

Another couple of guys showed up who Carola and guided and fed while they were fly fishing with us in Chile and Argentina in 2010 was Smiley & Pat. Now back up in Shasta to hang out with us at night at the Dunsmuir Brewery and fly fishing in the day on my raft on the Upper Sac.

Fish on bro! Thanks for coming up Smiley, Carola and I loved the new girlfriend and hanging out with you and Pat was the greatest!

So many hook-ups and great fishing on our 12 mile journey!

Tom Hawkins and Burke Newman have gone 6 years straight on my rafting fly fishing trip on the Upper Sac, I guess you could call it a tradition.

Tom is an expert on my raft trip and often catches and releases more than 20 trout per trip...

The views are always incredible and the runs for fishing are out of a Walt Disney Movie! (Kobe Beef thinks so!)
