The Adventures of Jake Jordan 10-01-12

Greetings from Montauk NY:

I am here for 9 days of fly fishing for Striped Bass, Albies, and Bluefish, with my buddy Don Butler aboard his sea craft 23 Magician.

On October 27 I arrived and we left Star Island and headed toward the light house, 3 miles from the dock we found Bass Boiling on the surface, we fished for 3 hours, each of us caught half dozen Stripers up to 35 inches, several Albies and a Bluefish before dark.

Day 2 was slow we caught a dozen Albies in the rain, we quit early to get a good start the next day. On Sunday there were plenty of Albies in the morning but it was slow for Bass. Don went back out in the evening and caught 4 bass and some Albies.

Day four was awesome with Albies in the morning and lots of Big Bass for the last 4 hours of daylight. We stayed on one Boil for several hours, Don and I each caught a dozen nice 10 to 18 pound bass. this fishing is awesome! I will try to send more reports and pictures tomorrow.
