Fishing Report From  Friday April 21, 2008

We left out of Golden Isles Marina on Sunday April,12 2008 around 6:30 am . We went 75 miles offshore to begin with and went to a local hot spot coordinates were 30°43'44.10"N 80°12'23.29"W the depth was 380' the bottom contour was smooth with sharp rises about 15' apart that rose about 15 or 20 ft off the bottom. We fished the area between the rises with cut mullet on a 10/0 Mustad Circle hook with 3 ft of 90lb fluorocarbon leader with a barrel swivel at the top. The Red Snapper,Black Grouper and Vermillion Snapper could not resist the mullet we ended up with 12 red biggest at 29lbs and the 6 Black grouper the biggest at 18.12lbs and 5 Vermillion Snapper.

Last but not least it had gotten dark so we decided to Drop some rigged Mackerel for swordfish the on a 20ft of Fluorocarbon leader with a Mustad 20/0 Circle hook with a 6inch green light stick 2 ft above the bait. we waited for hours and finally we got a swordfish on the line with the Squid after a Hour and Ten Minute fight we got it boatside and landed it on the boat. When we got back to the dock its weight was 475.9lbs that's all for now.
