Announcing The Fall Classic Flyfishing
Tournament, November 2 - 4, 2008
Casa Vieja Lodge is pleased to announce that the staff
has put together our own Fall Flyfishing Tournament! Join us for what is
destined to become the world’s premier billfish fly tournament. Long
known for the planet’s highest concentration of Sailfish, Guatemala is
emerging as the future Blue Marlin Mecca along the Eastern Pacific
Rim. Join the Casa Vieja Fleet at Marina Pez Vela for the first
event of the ‘08 – ‘09 season.
Flying to Guatemala is fast and simple. It is a
little over two hours from Miami and a three hour flight from Houston and
Atlanta. Most major airlines service Guatemala’s Aurora
International Airport daily from many cities around the U.S. The
airport in Guatemala is Central America’s newest and largest
international airport. From the airport you will have a short ninety
minute drive to the hotel in one of our
vans.
TEAMS
The Casa Vieja Lodge Fall Classic Fly Tournament will be
a team event taking place over three consecutive days. Teams will consist
of two anglers and each team will have a boat to themselves. Competitors
will fish 20lb. tippet on day one followed by 16lb. and 12lb. on the
following days. Private boats are welcome as well as the Guatemalan
charter fleet.
   Prizes and Awards
As in the past, prizes will include
trophies for the top three teams. The winning team will
have name plaques on the newly created permanent Casa Vieja Lodge Father &
Son Billfish Classic Tournament Trophy. The Grand Prize for the winning
team will be a VIP return trip for two days of fishing for later in the
year 2008!

ENTRY FEE: $4200 per person*
*Entry fee includes: ground transportation between the
Guatemala City Airport, Casa Vieja Lodge and Marina Pez Vela, 4 nights in
1 double room and all your meals at the Casa Vieja Lodge, and 3 full days
of fishing. Basically your entrance fee includes everything except
airfare, tips and your bar bill.
