Captain Jake Jordan

April 4th, 2008

Good Morning:

I just received this report from my friend Captain Tim Dean, from the vessel Calypso, in Port Stephens, Australia. In the report he lists available dates for his 2009 fly fishing for marlin season during March and April of 2009. If you would like the opportunity to catch a Marlin "Grand Slam" (Blue, Black, Striped) on fly during one day, you should contact me to reserve your dates now? This is a world class operation, I look forward to fishing with Tim again next year!                                    Jake

G'Day Mate,

Finally the weather has come up and given us a day off from fishing, 25-35kts SW.

I've never been so happy to see the wind blow as our schedule has been heavy.

The fishing after you guys left went gang busters for two days with us teasing 27 fish 9 of which were blues to 750lb , 2 blacks and the remainder stripers.

The anglers we had from Canada were absolutely out of there league with the lead angler somehow breaking one of the guides out of the TFO rod and lost both fly lines which you gave me, by sticking the rod over the side of the boat twice as we were chasing the fish, it was a great move but in the wrong direction.

I have never seen moves like it.

Nonetheless I will need some more fly lines from you so let me know the costs involved.

On a more positive note, the team after that one was great. We had a brother and sister team from the Carolinas (who, will be contacting you shortly for some tarpon fishing) they enjoyed great weather and great fishing with 18 teases 12 hookups and 5 releases one being the new (pending) 16lb striped marlin for female world record.

it was a great way to finish the month off.

April 1st saw us break out the conventional tackle but continuing the two teaser lure spread, we went 7 for 7 on large stripes. Too easy after a month of fly fishing.

We have made some great footage for the last couple of trips which I will send you so you can see where the fly line have gone. There is however some unreal teaser/fly action on the disc.

I have allocated time for you and your guests from the 2nd to the 7th March, 14th to the 27th also. Lets see how we go with those dates.

4 to 9 April is open now as well, I would like to string together as much fly as possible consecutively.

Hope your doing well and the fish are biting, I am going to by a newspaper and do what the normal people do for a day.

And tomorrow I am going fishing.

Best Regards,

Captain Tim
