Greetings Friends: I apologize for no fishing reports since before Christmas, I have a good excuse. On December 27th I went to the university hospital to have a large polyp removed from my colon, that was a great success and the polyp was benign. On New Year's Eve I ate some fancy mixed nuts which I should not have done, the next morning I woke up feeling bad.By noon I had a headache so I took a couple of aspirin, and by 6 PM I was bleeding from the rectum. I got in the hospital at midnight bleeding profusely and it took them another 12 hours to stop the bleeding. That night I received 2 units of blood then by Thursday I was feeling better, on Friday morning the doctor said that they had stopped the bleeding and that my vitals were back to normal, but they wanted to monitor me for one more day. Saturday after eating solid food for a full day I was released and told not to eat any nuts or seeds for a long time, oh yea, and no aspirin. I am at home and feel great, I will be heading down to Guatemala on Thursday, so you can look for a fishing report shortly after. For all of you who were looking for me at The Flyfishing Show in Denver, sorry that I missed you, I heard that the show was one of the best Denver shows ever! I am Blessed to have this good health and fishing.
