AUGUST IS ALWAYS A CHALLENGE AS ITS HOT AND HUMID AND OCCASIONAL HIGH WINDS AND THUNDERSTORMS BUT THEN THERE’S LIGHT WINDS TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The water temp has been holding steady at around 83% outside the reef and as long as the winds remain light the water will be clear too.

The current has been slow, this makes for slow bottom fishing.

Good days for Yellowtail snappers are always welcome. My good friend Captain Ken and Captain Paula had a banner day with 16" to 20

" yellow tails filling the limit in just a few hours. Grouper fishing has been slow as they have moved into deeper waters. The best luck I’ve had is with my Fly rod method for catching Grouper and Snapper. If you haven’t tried it your missing out on the best method for catching them. Dolphin are still avaible if you can find a floating weeds or some type of debri. Good catches of Dolphin are around with schoolies, but be careful the of legal size to take them, 10 per person limit or just take as many as you will eat. Don’t be surprised if a Marlin comes into the school for his quick meal too.
