Tampa Bay Fishing Is Out Of Control!
The weather changed a bit this week. It cooled down, but it sure didn’t last long. The temperature dropped down to 46 degrees one day, but came right back up the next. Although the temperature only stayed at 46 degrees for one day, it did manage to decrease water temperature a bit. Before the past front the water temperature was up to 72 degrees, which is almost unheard of this time of year. Although it is winter, the weather is much like that of spring. The fish just don’t know what to think. |

Snook Bonanza
Sunday I had the pleasure of spending the day with Jim from Clearwater Florida. The trip was planned to mirror the terrific snook bite we have been on the last 2 weeks. Bait is still readily available on the Skyway Bridge, several tosses net filled the live well. A negative .06 tide greeted us with some amazing views on the flats many void of water. Take time and observe, you be amazed how much you learn. |

Happy New Year, it's got to be better than the old one!
Fishing this week has been a real pleasure. The fish were happy and the anglers were successful. What more can you ask for? Redfish have been the target species due to the super low tides we've been experiencing. Seatrout are beginning to get more active and there is a plethora of ladyfish and small jacks around. Most redfish came on the beginning of the incoming tide, but for a couple of days the fish were tailing as late as 4:00PM. |

Fishing Report 12/23/2008 – Capt. Terry Frankford
It's that time of year again, the sheepshead are moving in. Angler's aboard the Reelin & Chillin have caught plenty around docks in the Sarasota Bay area. Inshore redfish, sheepshead, and ladyfish have tightened lines. Offshore little tunny, mangrove snapper, and key west grunts have made it to the live well. |

Tampa Bay Redfishing Live Bait!
Hot, cold, hot, cold…the weather can’t make up its mind! It’s the week of Christmas and the highs are in the 80’s. Well, I guess we are in Florida. Although the weather has wavered between hot and cold, the fishing has remained hot! The fish are just a bit confused by this weather. The water temperature is around 70 degrees, which is almost unheard of for this time of year. But…we’ve been catching fish and that’s what counts. |
