12 Hour Night Snapper
The weather was bumpy and uncomfortable but the Red Snapper were biting we caught our limit on 1 drop and picked a few other fish like king mackerel, gag grouper, lane and mangrove snapper and a few porgies. The sharks were there also around eating some tasty treats and they were cranked from the depths. We did get home late due to the sloppy conditions but with a box full of red snapper nobody seemed to mind.

44 hr Florida Middle Grounds
The 44 hr trip this weekend was very exciting. One of our regular passengers was celebrating his birthday with us. This would mean we could call Dean Old, crusty and things like for the whole weekend without him getting very far away from the heckling. The first drop of the trip gave us lots of mangrove snapper and some American red snapper also in the mix was some red grouper and 1 gag grouper and a bunch of king mackerel. During the day on Saturday we moved to deeper water and whacked the Giant amberjack and some more red snapper. The afternoon was a slow grind picking away at some porgies and more red grouper. Sat night the bite started right away allowing us to top off our snapper limit and making for a late birthday dinner of Rib eye steaks, Lobster tails and Stone crab claws and of course a cake what a feast. We could not top off the cake with the correct amount of candles because of the fire hazard of all those open flames The Grouper Bite on Sunday morning was very slow with only a few shorts coming over the rail. What a great weekend.

Jumbo Red Snapper Special
The jumbo Red snapper special on July 10 was a success with the passengers catching there limit of Red snappers on the first drop along with some large Gag Grouper and amberjack. The rest of the day we picked away at some more assorted snappers like Yellowtail, Mutton, Vermillion and Mangrove. On the grouper scene we managed a few nice Red Grouper and a handful of Scamp Grouper.
