For Immediate Release

KATY, Texas – Igloo Products Corp, the nation’s largest cooler manufacturer, introduced Yukon™ “Cold Lockers” in January of 2012 for the serious outdoorsman. Yukon™ comes in 50, 70, 150 and 250 quart sizes.

Due to high demand, Igloo has tripled its capacity in the past month in order to meet retailer and consumer volume. Later in 2012, Igloo will devote a portion of its Katy, Texas facility to rotational molding equipment for the purpose of better servicing this fast growing line of products in the Igloo portfolio. Igloo will proudly add the title of “Made in America” to its Yukon line beginning in August of 2012.

Press Release

Keith Warren, internationally known professional outdoorsman and host of “The High Road” TV series, has been testing the 50 qt. Yukon™ cooler in the field for the last several months. He says this cooler is a “game changer” and in his 30 years of experience there has been nothing like it. There is a huge difference in the rugged quality, construction, design and engineering from other coolers on the market. He and his crew are out in the field for days and everything they have in the cooler stays cold the whole time. He says “unless you see it and try it you won’t believe how great it is”.

A major sporting goods retailer said the Yukon™ is a cooler on steroids, according to David Thornhill, Igloo executive Vice President of brand and product. He says Igloo is very pleased with the momentum from the Yukon™ and the positive reaction from the sporting industry. In order to keep up with demand, they will be increasing the manufacturing facility by adding several roto-molding lines and jobs by the end of the year.

The Yukon cold lockers feature a minimum of three inches of foam in a gasketed lid, and two inches of foam in the cooler’s body, providing seven-fourteen day cold performance, depending on the body size. They have rugged, wide-grip, integrated handles that accommodate large or gloved hands and can act as tie-down loops. The integrated handles are more stable to carry than swinging rope handles and make the cold locker harder to steal.

Each model has an oversized tethered drain plug to prevent loss and for easy draining and cleaning. They also have a textured, non-skid working and standing surface integrated into their lids and unique dual, reversible skid/anti-skid pads on the bottom. The lid is secured with durable, yet flexible rubber latches with finger grips. All stainless steel hinges, hardware and dual lid locks provide maximum security and deter animals. All of these features make the Yukon series the most durable cold lockers in the woods or on the water. For marine users, the new, 70-quart Yukon is designed on the Igloo 94 quart Marine footprint, so it fits readily into racks or under leaning posts on boats.

Igloo is expanding the current Yukon line to offer more sizes, colors and patented features. The new additions will be introduced at the Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City. Visit the Igloo booth, #32193, at the Outdoor Retailer Show to get an exclusive look at the new line.
