Frigid Rigid introduces its XFish Micro Skiff at ICAST

Frigid Rigid, makers of the world's premier ice chests, introduced its XFish Micro Skiff to media and retailers attending the 2012 ICAST Show in Orlando, Florida.

Frigid Rigid/Rigid Boats have zeroed in on a niche market that lies somewhere between kayaks/paddle boards and the conventional shallow water skiff market. Art Link, president of Frigid Rigid/Rigid Boats, stated, "We realized that the kayak and SUP (standup paddle boards) is a growing market. However, we also realized that not everyone wants to spend the day paddling around, especially when the winds begin to kick up."

Versatile and Functional

The XFish was designed with versatility in mind. It can be powered by a 12 volt trolling motor, 2.5 hp gas motor or simply paddled or poled like a conventional shallow water skiff. It features a built-in ice chest well that can be converted to covered storage area (with hatch) or even a live well. Additionally, it comes standard with forward in-deck storage, ice chest, padded swivel seat, sealed battery compartment and 12 volt trolling motor. There are a number of options that can be added to XFish to adapt it to your lifestyle, such as a camouflaged deck for hunting. Art also stated, "We feel the XFish is suitable for a variety of markets and areas, fishing, hunting, exploring in coastal waters, rivers, lakes and even as a resort rental boat. Its light weight and shallow draft make it ideal for having fun and getting where most people can't."
