I hope everyone is having a great holiday season and enjoying time with friends and family. I would also like to take this opportunity and thank all my clients, friends and sponsors for another great year for Double D Charters. We had so many great trips with new and old friends and clients. As many already know, this is a hard business and it is the things (both big and small) that sponsors and clients do that keeps us in business and has made for some great days on the water.

Winter Snook Blitz

The calendar says its winter but with temperatures in the 80’s and the water temperature on Tampa Bay’s eastside near 70 makes it feels like fall. Friday we specifically targeted snook, the conditions are prime and I was sure the snook would be feeding heavy for winter.

Nov 21-23 The Presidential Challenge of Central America. This event is put on annually by our friend Joan Vernon and is always a good time. Check out her web site for more info on this important event: www.preschallenge.com. Chris Sheeder, Captain of the Buddy Boy, fished Jim Turner, Roy Cronicher, and Mike Wnek. The group was consistently in the bite during the three-day event, raising 74 sails with 69 bites and releasing 31 to capture a Second place finish in the Guatemalan Leg of the P.C.C.A.
