Have you ever wondered what goes into manufacturing the tackle, gear and accessories we all use today? Anglers often take for granted the tremendous effort required to engineer, design and build all of the equipment and countless components that combine to enhance our boating and sport fishing experiences.

Enjoy a Week-long Hunt for Trophy Trout, Arctic Char, Glorious Grayling and Vicious Pike
The perpetual summer sun beamed down as we boated across this immense body of water known as Great Bear Lake. The far shoreline could barely be seen in the distance, yet we were only fishing one of five of the massive arms of what could be considered a freshwater ocean. It’s truly amazing how much can happen in the span of a few days.

Consistently successful inshore anglers rarely miss what is right under their nose.
It’s mid-July along the Panhandle and I’m on a scouting expedition hoping to locate a few new spots for the upcoming season. As I head down the ICW, I notice a new zone that I’ve never fished before. From mangrove-encrusted shorelines to shell-lined beaches, this increasingly popular tourist destination continues to yield fantastic results with schoolie snook and so much more.
Sanibel, in fact, became my home away from home when I assessed that this general area had such perfect ingredients for so many types of snook venues. From lush grass flats, rivers, bridges, passes and mangrove jungles, all the way out to the expansive beaches of the Gulf of Mexico; it is a true linesider Mecca.

Kickoff Football Season Early – Live Bait Tactics for Bruiser Blackfin
Somewhere on a lush green practice field a bulldog fullback is punishing a quartet of would-be tacklers. The talented running back barrels through the overmatched defenders and plunges into the end zone – touchdown! The drill is repeated over and over again until they’ve reached perfection. This fall, kickoffs are for real, but right now off the southeast coast of Florida football season is already in full swing – and I’m not talking about pigskin.

A Sensational Yellowfin Tuna Bite Is Just Around The Corner
Mention yellowfin tuna in conversation, and instinctively visions of Northeast canyons, Gulf Coast oil rigs and the long-range San Diego fleet come to mind. Yet, an extremely rewarding yellowfin tuna fishery exists right here off the South Florida coast – an increasingly reliable fishery that continues to bring even the most seasoned offshore veterans to their knees, while putting their skills and tackle to the ultimate test.
