Marathon and FL Keys | Junior Anglers from Eustis FL

Visiting the Keys from Eustis FL, Greg Prevatt treated his son and two other junior anglers to a half day of fishing with Capt. Chris Johnson and SeaSquared Charters out of 7 Mile Marina. Winds were out of the east at about 20 knots, so Capt. Chris chose to fish for mangrove snapper around the banks in Florida Bay.

The anglers had their rods bent 90% of the trip and succeeded in catching mangrove and yellowtail snapper, hogfish, cero mackerel and a couple of short gag grouper, which were released. The gang returned to 7 Mile Marina the following day to partake in some of the family-friendly activities for the Marathon Sharkathon, including Capt. Spider Branch's casting contest, hermit crab races and fishing from the pond. Shown are Greg Prevatt, Erin and Derek Collins and Greg's son Sam.
