It’s always nice to slip out and do a little fishing myself when I get a chance. This past weekend I called one of my regulars and invited him to go fun fishing with me and of course he said yes.

Phil Baker and my self decide to see what we could do in only 2 hours of fishing. I no that sounds wrong but sometimes it’s a challenge to see if you can catch a few nice fish and be home before the wife gets up!

First I chose to fish as close to the house as possible then decided what would be the best bet as to what kind of fish to target which this morning it was Trout.

Fishing Report

Loaded with 6 dozen live shrimp and a handful of float rigs it was off to down town Jacksonville. I think you can even see Alltel stadium in the back ground which is home of the Jacksonville Jaguars but that’s a whole different conversation.

Fishing Report

After working the docks and one bridge for a little less than 2 hours we managed to catch 16 Trout all of which were keeper size and kept enough for a good ole fish fry that afternoon. Home and boat cleaned by 10am. That’s what I call a good start to the day. After a morning like that it’s hard to have a bad day.
