Designed specifically for the harsh marine environment, the shallow-mount, MS-RA200 stereo produces Fusion’s signature best-in-class sound quality for enjoyment above engine, wind and other ambient noises typically associated with boating. The 4x50W output delivers crisp, clear and loud audio output including user selected VHF or weather band broadcasts. Anglers will appreciate the ability to scan “favorite” VHF channels for fish chatter and listen to it through large 6- or 7-inch stereo speakers at significantly louder volumes than typical VHF speakers. The device’s USB connector allows users to play MP3 tracks stored on USB jump/thumb drives or communicate through the boat’s speakers with a USB wireless microphone. Compatible with the Fusion MS-IPDock, an external waterproof iPod docking unit that can integrate and conceal an Apple iPod Touch, iPod Nano (Gen2, Gen3 and Gen4) and iPod Classic (Gen5 and Gen6), as well as the iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3G S; the dock enables full control and selection of songs by artist, song, playlist, album and genre directly through the stereo interface. When used with an Apple iPhone, the Fusion stereo automatically mutes audio and plays the phone’s ringtone through a boat’s speakers; once the call is complete the audio returns at the last volume setting. The optional MS-IPDock is plug-and-play compatible with the MS-RA200 and can be mounted with an included waterproof dash kit, or screw mounted in a glove box or electronics locker.

“The new MS-RA200 is a compact, cost-effective, marinized entertainment solution that delivers the best sound quality and the most advanced audio features available, and is controlled with a seamless and easy-to-use interface that clearly sets Fusion stereos apart from the competition,” said Todd Crocker, president, Fusion Electronics U.S.A. “Perfect for smaller boats with limited dash space or those adding an additional stereo system to a vessel, the MS-RA200 provides big Fusion performance in small and convenient package. It is a unique and exciting addition to our renowned marine stereo line.”

Supplying up to four true audio channels with 50 watts of output power per zone, the Fusion MS-RA200 stereo features user-definable preference settings allowing volume and sound quality to be controlled independently, zone-by-zone or in relation to one another. The stereo is also compatible with Fusion’s high-performance MS-WR200 and MS-WR600 wired remote control units that provide the same source features as the stereo head units, and can be added to extend the control capabilities of the system in each audio zone. Designed with an attractive metallic grey finish, the new Fusion stereos are housed in a die-cast chassis that dissipates heat build-up that is common to the marine environment. Other features of the MS-RA200 include a bright FSTN transflective LCD display (64 x 128 pixel) with amber backlight illumination; rubber buttons with laser-etched icons and amber-backlighting; a rotary volume knob with push-to-select control; user-selectable 12/24 hour clock; electronic bass, treble and balance control; 100Hz base and 10kHz treble for clear sound reproduction output; two-channel plus subwoofer line out; and an auxiliary-in expansion port. The Fusion MS-RA200 stereo comes with a dust cover, is waterproof to the IP65 standard and includes a three-year limited parts and labor warranty with an additional two-year flat rate warranty.
