Defiant 270 TC

Defiant’s latest achievement was conceived for the sole purpose of providing a technologically-advanced, ride-friendly catamaran that could easily transition from an extreme offshore fishing machine, to a speedboat capable of bouncing kids across the bay on the latest inflatable toys, to a casual cruiser able to ferry friends and family on comfortable sunset cruises. Defiant’s design and manufacturing team firmly believed that such a versatile platform should and could exist. It appears that they not only hit the nail on the head, but drove it all the way home with the introduction of the 270 TC.

What makes the Tarpon 26 unique? The answer is design. Andros Boatworks spent months consulting with fishermen, researching proven panga designs, and meeting with knowledgeable yacht builders. The result; a full transom fishing machine blending the proven design philosophy of a traditional panga with the precision of a computer aided designed hull. The Tarpon 26 combines the ride and stability of an offshore platform with the shallow draft/running capability of a backcountry flats skiff.

Blackfin jumped into the boat building business back in the 1970s. Not long after, Blackfin boats could be found fishing the waters all around the nation as their reputation soared. The Blackfin name quickly became synonymous as a leading manufacturer because of their vessels’ impressive construction and functional designs. Today, the legend is back with the introduction of the Blackfin 27 Center-Console. The 27 is engineered from the proven Blackfin 25 Combi, which featured a 60 degree entry deadrise and 24.5 degree transom deadrise.
