Bluewater 2550 BOAT REVIEWAS SEEN IN THE SEPT/OCT 2007 ISSUE

Fast, strong, dry – and even better!

The Bluewater 2550 has been in production for ten years. During this time, it has gained a solid reputation as a strong, dry, offshore platform capable of hard fishing in rough seas while doubling as a comfortable family cruiser. For the Anniversary Edition, Bluewater’s design team found several ways to improve on the already successful design.

The new deck features a larger cockpit with toe rail. Forward, the deck has been modified to provide a better fishing position. Dual pop-up bow cleats replace the single cleat of years past, and a new pop-up bow light has been moved forward for increased visibility. The aft walk-though was redesigned to minimize water intrusion. In-deck hatches include a deeper drain channel and a gasket to further enhance the lockers function. A modular electrical harness featuring waterproof connectors for each piece of equipment now comes standard. The harness has connections for all Bluewater options, making it easy to add equipment at a later date. In addition, the system eliminates electrical faults due to water intrusion. And for added security offshore, the 2550 now includes a built-in high water alarm warning of excess water in the bilge. Check out Bluewater Sportfishing Boat’s 2550 and see for yourself why the Anniversary Edition is better!

Storage Galore

Several leaning post options have been added, including the standard aluminum unit, a new complete tackle-center with pull out cooler, and for serious live bait tournament competitors, a 50-gallon livewell leaning post in addition to the 35-gallon livewell built into the transom.

Functional Center Console

The large center console provides ample space for electronics installation, is easy to see over, and offers plenty of room for the optional marine head. Unlike other center console designs, the BW 2550 can be comfortably operated while standing at the leaning post or from the seated position.
