Caracal 180 Catamaran

Caracal 180 Catamaran Fish…Cruise…Discover.

With the draft of a skiff, the range of 120-miles per tank, and the capability of a deep-vee center-console, waking up in the morning and deciding where you want to fish will be your biggest dilemma. One of the biggest, if not the largest 18-footer’ on the market right now is still relatively unknown to the boating community.

The Caracal 180 Catamaran has an impressive 8-foot beam, and with an overall length of 18-feet 2-inches, this boat feels colossal as you casually walk around without rocking. This cool cat features a 33-square foot casting platform and includes trolling pads on both the port and starboard sides. Included in the standard package is a 24-gallon plumbed livewell, twin bilge pumps, 72-quart cooler seat, tackle center, large storage compartment under the casting deck, twin anchor lockers, hydraulic steering, and the list goes on…

The Caracal 180 is constructed using only the highest grade composite materials. With a fully foam-filled grid stringer system glassed into the hull, you can rest assured that what is between you and the water is incredibly strong. Finished with 316 stainless steel and a great eye for detail, it’s easy to see why the Caracal 180 is turning heads at the ramp as well as on the water.

Specifications:

L.O.A. – 18’2’’
Beam – 8’1’’
Draft – 9”
Weight – 1,200 pounds
Max Power – 140 HP
Fuel Capacity – 30 gallons
Baitwell Capacity – 24 gallons

Bottom Line: The Caracal 180 Catamaran is truly a versatile fishing machine, and this sweet feline makes even the roughest days on the water seem enjoyable.

Notable Features:

Options, options, options!

With an options list a mile long, and an enthusiastic approach to trying new things at Caracal, what you decide to add is truly up to you. Pictured above is a boat rigged for flats fishing with twin Lenco trolling motors and PowerPole shallow-water anchoring system.

Console

The large console comes standard with tachometer, trim and fuel gauges, and leaves ample space for electronics, compasses and extra switches. Also included in the standard package is the windshield, grab rail and extra handles.

Beam me up!

The eight foot beam provides a huge fishing platform, not to mention loads of room for cruising and lounging. The optional cushion package transforms the casting platform into a comfortable tanning and reading deck.

About the Company:
A true family owned and operated business, Caracal produces 60 boats a year. After starting off in Florida in 1996 and gradually growing over the years, Caracal decided to scale back and focus on what they felt was most important, family, and building great boats. While many companies are expanding to pump out as many boats as possible, Caracal has taken a much different approach. Build fewer boats in a setting where quality far outweighs quantity.

Visit the factory any day of the week, and odds are you will find the father and son team in the back working diligently alongside their dedicated crew. With a rapidly increasing dealer base, candid and honest approach to building boats, Caracal has developed an almost cult following in the small catamaran market. The Caracal 180 is arguably the best riding small boat on the market today, a statement that is not self proclaimed, but rather spread by happy customers all over the U.S.
