Furuno adds a New Dimension to 3D |

Furuno adds a New Dimension to 3DFuruno USA, Inc. is proud to introduce NavNet 3D. Since the release of NavNet1 in 2001 and NavNet vx2 in 2005, Furuno’s NavNet series has been enjoying unrivalled popularity worldwide for its high reliability, performance and expandability. It has even been voted Best Integrated Navigation System by the National Marine Electronics Association. Now, NavNet 3D is ready to carry on the tradition and break new ground with never before seen features. NavNet 3D is a completely redesigned navigation suite that is a component based system. The brains of the system are based in its Multi Function Display (MFD) units. You can choose from an 8.4-inch, 12.1-inch or Black Box MFD, depending on your vessel size and need. From there, you can add on a variety of components to round out your package, such as the Ultra High Definition (UHD) Digital Radar Sensor, Furuno Digital Filter (FDF) Fish Finder, Sirius Satellite Weather Receiver, GPS/WAAS Receiver, Autopilot, AIS Receiver, Digital Instruments, IP Cameras and more. Imagine a chart plotter with no redraw time. Now imagine being able to choose from preloaded raster, vector and bathymetric official NOAA charts for the entire U.S. coastline. Now the high point, imagine a chart plotter that can display either chart format in 2D or 3D anytime, on the fly. NavNet 3D is able to do all of this because of its powerful graphic engine and a new technology Furuno developed called TimeZeroTM. TimeZeroTM enables instant, real and seamless chart redraw with absolutely no waiting. The chart can be zoomed seamlessly and continuously in and out to whatever chart scale is desired. You can also pan and scroll around the chart in real-time, allowing you the freedom to explore your charts. Then with a simple, short push of a single button, you are instantly returned to your own vessel’s position. A long push toggles you between a traditional 2D view to an amazing 3D view. Adding to the charts, Furuno is offering high-resolution satellite photography that can be fused with the raster or vector charts. They have created a new technique call Satellite PhotoFusionTM that allows land areas (zero depth) to be completely opaque, so that these areas are displayed as high-resolution satellite photos on the chart. As with previous NavNet Radars, Furuno has implemented true color Radar in the NavNet 3D system. The big difference is that the Radar sensors are now Ultra High Definition (UHDTM) Radar sensors delivering crystal clear, noise-free target presentations with automatic, real-time digital controls. One of the areas that Furuno has long been known for is their outstanding fish finder technology. NavNet 3D incorporates Furuno’s award winning FDF (Furuno Digital Filter) technology through the use of the DFF1 network sounder. The DFF1 turns any NavNet 3D MFD into a powerful, dual frequency digital fish finder. Perhaps the most impressive part of NavNet 3D is when you bring all the pieces together. This building block type system allows you to create the system that works best for your vessel. If you only need a GPS and chart plotter, all you need is a MFD and GPS receiver. If you want satellite weather to overlay your chart, add the Sirius Satellite Weather receiver. But when you bring the whole system together, you have one amazing network! 360.834.9300 www.Furuno.com |
