Live Sirius Marine Weather on Furuno's NavNet vx2 Keeping track of weather is about to get easier than ever with Furuno's NavNet vx2! Furuno and Sirius are teaming up to bring you live, up-to-date weather forecast information to give you peace of mind, no matter when or how you are using your vessel.  The weather information is obtained from the weather industry's
leading experts and is delivered via Furuno's BBWX1 digital receiver
through Sirius' Marine Weather services. Users have the ability to receive high-quality and comprehensive weather forecast information directly overlaid onto C-Map MAX charts. You will be provided with premium weather content, such as current weather reports, nationwide high-resolution weather radar imagery, and high-resolution Sea Surface Temperature images that help fishermen locate hot spots. In addition, you will be able to view information such as pressure isobars, frontal boundaries, squall lines and surface pressure. For tracking storms, there are lightning strike reports, wave height and wind forecasts using wind barbs or arrows. Simply put, now you can have a "weatherman" onboard 24/7. If you have radar on your NavNet vx2, you have the added benefit of being able to verify the weather information through TRUE color radar targets. Radar is capable of returning echoes of varying strength and then displaying them in different colors. If you're out in a storm, you can utilize this information to help navigate around the strongest cells. For onboard weather conditions, add Furuno's new PB100 Weather Station and you will also be able to receive apparent and true wind speed, wind direction, barometric pressure, air temperature and relative humidity. If a weather fax is what you need, the FAX30 can be added to your NavNet vx2 for satellite imagery and NAVTEX messages. No other manufacturer offers a complete weather solution like Furuno.
