Second Look New Shurhold Dual Action Polisher

The team at Shurhold has been at it again, this time their aim was to improve on an old favorite, the buffer/polisher. With many boaters turning to a more DIY approach over the last year, Shurhold wanted to give them something to help out.

This new Dual Action Polisher is a marine specific professional grade tool designed for everyday boaters to provide the ability to buff, wax, and polish their boat like a professional.

The design goal of this tool was to allow boaters to achieve the same high gloss professional finish as the pros do with a rotary buffer/polisher, but in a unit that less experienced, everyday boaters can operate with the same effectiveness. Something we all try to avoid is swirls and even burn marks that a rotary buffer/polisher can create when not handled properly. This is where the unique dual action oscillating head really make a difference.

Traditional rotary polishers have a larger wheel spinning at high rpm which means the operator's technique is important. The Shurhold polishers dual action oscillating head eliminates these issues, and allows any boaters to get the same great finish.

There are several features that our team likes about this new polisher, the quick change pads, with Velcro backing, the GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) which cuts off power to the unit should it become submerged or shorted by water, and the addition of a 20’ power cord and not a stubby pigtail.

The polishing pad size is 6” and you can choose from six different speed settings, depending upon your task, up to 6,500 orbits per minute. With a 500 Watt power rating at 4.2 amps, bogging will not be an issue.

This product comes as a kit including: Canvas Bag, PU Quick Change Velcro Backing Plate, Wrench, D Handle, Carbon Brush. The warranty is a 1 year limited warranty against defects in materials or workmanship.
