Commissioned Artwork to Celebrate 50th Anniversary

San Salvatore, Genoa, Italy, September 2, 2008 – Everol Fishing Reels, a leading manufacturer of high quality and durable offshore fishing reels, announces that award-winning marine artist Mark Ray, has been named Everol’s Official Artist, commissioned to produce an Everol original print to support and celebrate the company’s 50th Anniversary.

“Mark is an exception marine artist, and his work has been featured on the cover of Big Game Fishing Journal, among several other publications,” says Keith Wichmann, President/CEO of EverolUSA, the exclusive importer of Everol products in the United States.

Ray has been commissioned by Everol to paint an original piece, which will be reprinted utilizing the Giclée process, making fine art prints from a digital source using ink-jet printing.

“We hope to utilize these prints to recognize our top dealers, as well as supporting sales promotions for Everol’s line-up of offshore fishing reels,” says Wichmann.

Ray, born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1966, grew up catching bait and fishing the creeks and streams in and around his Ohio home. At an early age, Mark began sketching the fish he caught, and continued to draw and paint while working for the Palm Beach County Florida Sheriff’s Department for 12 years.

“The saltwater and fish that inhabit the inshore and offshore waters of Florida intrigued me to the point that I wanted to put their images on paper and canvas for everyone to enjoy,” says Ray. “I look forward to my partnership with Everol, and hope that my artistic talents, combined with the heritage behind the Everol brand, will yield a special piece of artwork. Everol is a vintage brand, and I anticipate relaying this “feeling” within this commissioned piece,” says Ray.

Everol, founded in 1958 by Elio Veroli and Gianni Sganzerla, recently launched its newest reel, the Canyon Special, to celebrate the company’s 50th Anniversary. “Everol is designed for the most discriminating offshore anglers – individuals who are looking for a product that will last for decades, and one often passed along from generation to generation,” says Wichmann.

Everol reels, nicknamed “Your Grandson’s next Reel,” can be ordered online at www.alltackle.com or www.tackledirect.com . Everol products come with a two-year warranty for recreational use.
