For Immediate Release
San Salvatore, Genoa, Italy, July 29, 2008 -- Everol Fishing Reels, a leading manufacturer of high quality and durable offshore fishing reels, recently introduced its newest reel, the Canyon Special, as a part of the company’s growing product line-up.

Everol, founded in 1958 by Elio Veroli and Gianni Sganzerla, launches its Canyon Special to celebrate the company’s 50th Anniversary. “Everol has a long history of designing and producing hand-crafted reels for the most discriminating offshore anglers – individuals who are looking for a product that will last for decades, and one often passed along from generation to generation,” says Keith Wichmann, President/CEO of EverolUSA, the exclusive importer of Everol products in the United States.

The Canyon Special maintains a vintage look and feel that so many anglers have become accustomed to with Everol reels. The Canyon Special is the size of a 4/0 reel, but has the drag capacity of a much larger 9/0 reel, tested to almost 40 pounds at full spool and 120 pounds at empty spool. The two-speed Canyon Special was designed to fulfill the needs of anglers utilizing monofilament or braided line, perfect for deep dropping, bottom fishing and trolling.

The Canyon Special is a powerful reel in a small package, providing the flexibility to load it with 80-200 pound braid with a 40# leader to catch snapper, or switch to a heavier top shot for big game fish.

Everol’s Canyon Special is cooled with forced air, limiting the amount of heat and friction that builds up while fighting big game. The Canyon Special is one of 20 reels in the Everol line-up, including what is believed to be the world’s largest reel – the Everol 18/0.

“Our Special Series reels, including our 30 Class, 50 Class, 80 Class, 130 Class and Unlimited Class, feature Everol’s unique drag scale on the side plate, giving the angler the ability to see how much drag force is being applied by the reel,” says Wichmann.

The drag scale is patented, and no other company has this feature. Due to its long lifespan and durability, Everol reels are perfect for heavy recreational use and charter guides.

In addition to the Special Series, the Everol line-up also includes the Waterproof Series, featuring rod roller guides and the Nautilus Downrigger System.

Everol reels, nicknamed “Your Grandson’s next Reel,” can be ordered online at www.alltackle.com or www.tackledirect.com

. Everol products come with a two-year warranty for recreational use. For more information, or retail locations to find Everol products, visit www.everol.com
