For Immediate Release

Union, New Jersey, September 4, 2008 - Interlux® is proud to present the latest addition to its professional paint systems - The Ultimate Interior System – developed in partnership with some of the most renowned applicators and boat builders in today’s market.

After an initial and highly successful launch in the European new build market, the paint system and products are now available to America’s finest boat builders and repair yards. The system, ideal for aluminum, steel and composite surfaces, consists of:

Interior Primer 860 – a VOC compliant, high-performance anticorrosive epoxy coating in a low odor formulation. Popular for use on bulkheads, behind linings, bilges, lockers, engine rooms and most other interior spaces where an easy to clean, smooth primer is desired.

Top three reasons to try it within any build process or repair situation: - Fast drying - walk on it just hours after application! - Long overcoating interval - refit or new build project delayed? Apply the topcoat 12 months later without the need to sand! - High solids - less solvent emissions and low odor!

Interior Finish 750 – A polyurethane topcoat that currently comes in 4 shades matched to RAL colors (7035, 7038, 9003 and 9010). Provides a high gloss, high opacity finish that is tough, chemically resistant and easy to clean. Interior Finish 750 is particularly suited for use in engine rooms.

Why applicators love it:

  • Excellent film build and hide!
  • Fast tack time and dry time!
  • 1 coat application (when sprayed)!

The system carries a Lloyds Certificate for Surface Spread of Flame, so it is ideal for builders building to MCA standards. For more information, visit the Interlux booth at IBEX 2008 (#2001) or at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (#M12).

Interlux Yacht Finishes is the leading supplier of high performance marine coatings and forms part of Netherlands-based Akzo Nobel, the world's largest supplier of industrial coatings.
