Total Length Measurement:
Total Length is defined as the measurement from the most forward point of the fish’s head, usually the tip of its snout with the mouth closed, to the farthest tip of the fish’s tail with the tail pinched, while the fish is lying flat on its side.

Fork Length Measurement:
Fish regulated by fork length are measured from the most forward point of the fish’s head, usually the tip of its snout with the mouth closed, to the center of the fork in the fish’s tail, not the tip of the tail.
Lower Jaw Fork Measurement:
Species regulated by lower jaw fork length are measured in a straight line from the anterior part of the lower jaw - tip of the lower jaw, not the tip of the bill - to the center of the fork in the fish’s tail, not the tip of the tail.
