Huge impact made helping “to catch the cure” for CF by small Keys tournament series

ISLAMORADA, In-The-Florida Keys –The Redbone is celebrating its 25th annual “Fruits of our Labors” BBQ cookout with live entertainment for the hard work and money raised from its 2012 series of fishing tournaments for cystic fibrosis medical research efforts. It takes place Saturday, May 25th, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Lorelei beach near mile marker 82 bayside.

POMPANO BEACH, FL – Light winds brought an early morning calm in the 15th Annual Mercury/SeaVee Pompano Beach Saltwater Shootout, but that was no indication of the hot bite that would erupt when lines in the water was announced at 7am on Saturday, May 11th. With a purse in excess of over $200,000 in cash and prizes, 137 boats cleared Hillsboro Inlet with hopes of finding their winning catch.

Mother’s Day weekend will traditionally kick off Tarpon Season with the 23rd Annual Ladies Day Tarpon Tournament Saturday, May 11th 2013.

Competition Tackle & Marine, Inc. of Ft. Lauderdale has announced that the 17th annual “Dolphin Round-Up 2013” will be held from June 1 through June 28 and is open to anglers of all ages. The fishing extravaganza kicks off on two consecutive Sundays, May 19th and 25th with the Dolphin Dash, a warm-up for the month-long “Dolphin Round-Up.” The tournament will raise funds and awareness for Hospice by the Sea, Inc.

The 2013 Bassmaster Elite Series "Rigid Industries Falcon Slam" was held at Falcon Lake in Zapata, Texas March 21-25, 2013.

BIOBOR EB® Bassmaster Elite Series Pro Angler Keith Combs caught 111.5 pounds to claim the Falcon Slam Elite Series Trophy. Over the course of 4 days, with Sunday's fishing postponed until Monday due to high winds, Keith took home over $110,000 in prize and contingency money, along with his first BASS Elite Series win.
