Sage’s new aluminum rod tubes

Whether you’re traveling to a remote destination or the local shallows, it’s critical your gear is protected along the ride. Fly rods are fragile and Sage’s new aluminum rod tubes incorporate alternating convex and concave curves to add a new dimension of strength. The distinct octagonal shape also keeps the tubes stable on smooth surfaces. Oversized, rubberized end caps help prevent scratches and dents while the bottom cap features a custom ID area for the angler’s contact information and rod type. The quarter-turn tenon style cap clicks shut and forms a seal that keeps out sand, grit and water. Available in nine sizes from $80 to $150. Sage, sageflyfish.com
