Albemarle Boats is pleased to announce that construction is now underway on a new 27-foot Dual Console model. The Albemarle 27 DC will debut in the Fall of 2018 as the company celebrates its 40th Anniversary. This will be a new product direction as the company has enjoyed a long history of building offshore sportfishing boats, the majority of which have been Express style layouts.
According to Albemarle General Manager, Burch Perry, “We do not see this exciting new model as a departure from our offshore roots, but rather an evolution in our product offering to align with the way our customers tell us they are using their boats today. Long-term customer relationships have been a top priority here at Albemarle for four decades, and today we are hearing our boat owners demanding a more family-friendly and versatile platform. They truly want to be able to do all things boating from anchoring up at the sandbar to chasing fish offshore.”
“We are thrilled to be introducing a boat that solves a real dilemma for today’s busy families,” stated Keith Privott, Albemarle Director of Sales and Product Development. “While many companies have built a variety of family-minded designs, there is a distinct absence in the marketplace for a boat that will do all of this but still offer the rough-water capability necessary to make those runs in big open water or to go offshore fishing. Our team labored over the small details to ensure that the new 27DC features everything boaters need and nothing that they don’t. We are delighted by the positive initial response by the select few that have seen the final design, and we are anticipating great results once the first boats hit the market.”
