Simple, captivating, easy and enjoyable, stand up paddleboarding is one of the best ways to enjoy Florida’s widespread waterways and one of the fastest growing segments of our sport. While Gulf Coast based BOTE led the revolution years back, they continue to set the standard for the most functional and feature packed paddleboards on the market.
From designing the world’s first fish-specific SUP, to incorporating a proprietary Innegra weave into their construction, BOTE is once again set to shock the market with the introduction of the Rackham. With a namesake loyal to Captain Rackham who hoisted the Jolly Roger flag while plundering the Caribbean, this hybrid model features design initiatives common to the best selling 12′ HD and super fishy 14′ AHAB.
Featuring a displacement hull with V nose entry for the ultimate combination of stability and speed, the Rackham has a large deck with 400 lb. load capacity and is outfitted with multiple Tackle Rac receivers, cooler tie downs, bungee tie downs and stakeout holes. The unique design has a recessed standing platform and thick bow to keep both paddler and gear high and dry. Additionally, there is a multi-textured EVA foam deck pad that provides a non-slip tactile map of your board. Constructed with the highest quality EPS foam, 1/1 commingled fiberglass/Innegra and epoxy resin, this board is exceptionally strong and equally at home in the backwater as it is beyond the beach.
BOTE shows no signs of slowing as they continue to develop and unveil industry firsts, with a goal of helping their customers paddle farther and faster, while catching more fish along their wide-ranging journeys. The most innovative feature on their newest board is the Paddle Sheath, which is a small slot in the bow of the deck that accepts the end of the paddle blade to keep your paddle secure so you can keep your hands free.
