Greetings from The Florida Keys:
Tonight My anglers were Fred Albright from Lancaster PA, and his friend Ed Vallantine from Punta Gorda FL. We met up at Tarpon world marina at 2:00 AM and headed straight out to northeast cormorant channel, where we found feeding Tarpon. Wind was south at 15 knots, with water temperature of 83 degrees, lots of sea weed and bait in the water. We had a total of 8 bites, jumped 7 and each angler got at least one Tarpon to the leader for a release. We had good fly fishing and both anglers are ready to book for next season. I love my Job, wish you were here.
This ends my April section of this 2014 Tarpon on fly season, the final score for April was as follows: 22 four hour fly fishing adventures between April 6 and April 30, We jumped 110 tarpon, and my anglers caught and released a total of 37 Tarpon on fly. We only had one night with one bite, all other nights had at least 3 Tarpon jumped on fly. In my opinion the fly fishing for Tarpon is ready to get really good, As of today I have the following dates available for someone who wants to catch a bunch of Tarpon on fly,: April, 15, 16, and April 20. Contact me now if you are interested?
Casa Vieja Lodge in Guatemala is getting full for the 2015 season quickly, PLEASE contact me now if you are planning to fish with me in Guatemala this coming season so I can lock in your dates! Even if you have already confirmed that you are coming this season please re confirm by phone or e-mail. Also if you are planning to return to CVL to fish in my Tournament on January, 6,7,8, with the practice day on the 5th of January, please let me know as I have other anglers trying to book boats and rooms to fish in my tournament. As I said, I love my job, lets go fishing
