Fishing outside Hillsboro Inlet was solid yesterday aboard our SeaVee 390. Steady 15-20 northeasterly breeze with crisp 3-4 ft. chop. Super clean water with scattered vibrant weed. Did a number of drifts starting in 250-300 ft and ending in 80-100 ft. Caught a couple of sails, lost a couple of sails, boated a solid gaffer ‘phin and a chunky 20 pound blackfin. Oh yeah, plenty of big bonitos around as well. Fished pilchards on kite and flat lines – all accounted for action. Lots of flyers being showered and plenty of bird life, including a few frigates. The bite should continue as long as the breeze keeps up. Go get ’em!
