St. Petersburg, FL – Qualia Fishing Reels was started by Jack Young in 2004 in Novato California, a suburb of San Francisco. In his 47 years in the business, Jack was a noted fishing reel designer, and manufacturer of parts for other companies with 37 patents to his credit. His moto was “overbuilt, strong, and built to last.” Jack passed of cancer almost 3 years ago. Qualia now has 20 reels in their present line including 3 new designs that are now being field tested.
