IC-M24

Without a shadow of doubt, a VHF is one of the most important pieces of safety equipment. While Icom pioneered the floating VHF marine radio, they recently raised the bar with the newly introduced IC-M24. With high quality transmission a given, the IC-M24 features a unique function that activates a flashing light in the event the VHF falls overboard. Incredibly, the strobe flashes even if the unit is turned off. To reduce volume and weight this advanced VHF is powered with a 3.7V Lithium-Ion battery pack. Recharging is as simple as plugging the wall charger directly into the radio. In addition, a newly developed PA circuit produces approximately 5-watts RF output, while conserving battery consumption for approximately 10 hours of operating time.
