Can you say “we kicked some Grouper tail”?! Well..we most certainly clobbered them today!
It was a beautiful day as far as the weather went. A bit foggy in the morning hours but cleared up by mid day.
It was three hour ride out to approximately 55 to 60 feet of water. And the bite was on..right off the bat. By noon, we had boated sixteen Gags and two Kingfish.
Katie and Charlie were out with us for the first time and boy oh boy did they clean house.
Katie was on fire..Gag after Gag and a nice size Kingfish brought lots of excitement on deck.
She was definitely the one to watch today. As a matter of fact, she was so good, that at one point I would check on her, and if SHE wasn’t catching anything I knew that no one else was either.
Richard and Mike were busy towards the stern as well as Sam and Joe who both limited out.
Tony massacred the huge Grunts and even caught a Mangrove Snapper and beautiful Porgie as well as the Gag limit. A nice Hogfish was included in todays total.
There were also four nice size keeper Red Grouper brought in not to mention the gazillion “shorties” both of the Gag & Red Grouper variety.
This was a spectacular day of fishing. So glad to of been a part of it.
