A Florida favorite that’s fun and relatively quick and easy to prepare, fish tacos make the perfect summertime treat and are best served with freshly prepared condiments.

Ingredients
(Serves Four)
Tacos
- 1 pound fresh blackfin tuna, filleted, skinned and cubed
- 1 package taco seasoning
- 2 limes, juiced
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 lime, quartered
- 8 flour tortillas, warmed
Garnish
- Sour cream
- Iceberg lettuce, shredded
- Shredded cheese, Mexican blend
- Salsa (see recipe)
- Guacamole (see recipe)
Directions
- Prepare salsa & guacamole. Place fish in a medium-sized bowl. Add lime juice and taco seasoning, toss to coat.
- Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. When oil shimmers, cook fish until opaque and firm. Five minutes should suffice. Remove from heat and flake. Squeeze lime wedge over fish and toss to coat.
- Place soft tortilla on your plate. Top with fish, cheese, lettuce, salsa and a dollop of sour cream and guacamole. Grab a cold one and enjoy!
Salsa
- 4 ripe tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup white onion, finely diced
- 2 jalapeños, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 lime, juiced
Toss and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
Guacamole
- 2 avocados, peeled & mashed
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 ripe tomato, chopped
- 1 lime, juiced
- salt & pepper to taste
Toss and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
